development pattern from gene expression data

I have a wt and mutant gene expression data and have calculated differential expression. The cells used are different stages of development. I wonder if I can draw a gene pattern as per development stages? Is there any tool or package available. I cannot find anything via google

Normally this is a simple XY line plot with expression on the Y and stage on the X. You can do this in R or Excel.
