I'm writing a paper on text extraction and I used the gene2pubmed mapping from the NCBI ftp-site. I was wondering if anyone knew of a paper that I could use as a citation for this resource (I can't find one anywhere on the NCBI site).

I was originally planning on citing NCBI's RefSeq paper since the README file implies that this is a mapping generated as part of the RefSeq adoption process.

Any thoughts?

This question and answer was so timely. I just added this reference to the manuscript I am working on.
