What are advantages of using Gene Regualtory Networks over Statistical methods when studying differential expression of microarray data.

For my B.Sc research project I'm trying to build a Gene regulatory network to study the differential expression of Rice microarray data of salt stressed rice plants. I'm using data which is already available here.

In that experiment if the study of differential expression was studied using statistical methods, what are the advantages that I would have for having a Gene Network approach.

Gene regulatory networks inference is based on statistical methods so what you're asking is not entirely clear to me. Usually the process is to first identify lists of genes that are differentially expressed then in a second step try to infer from this a network of regulation. I suggest you take a look at the literature, there are plenty of reviews on the subject of gene regulatory network inference.
