I would like to present a paper in a hot research topic in bioinformatics. Can you suggest any topic?
Hottest thing today:
Quite a broad question, can't you suggest which field you are more interested in? Genomics, transcriptomics,...
I guess everything related to long reads (PacBio/Nanopore) is pretty hot? For example the Canu paper for nice and efficient de novo assembly. Personal genomes and assembly graphs etc are also cool stuff, maybe http://biorxiv.org/content/early/2017/01/18/101493

It's pretty hot, but not really bioinformatics I would say. More technical.
Thanks, I'll check that.
This is a
hot
topic for some but it may not be so for you. If you and your colleagues don't use HiSeq 3K/4K patterned flowcell sequencing, then you would want to select something else for your presentation.Illumina has a white paper available that addresses this issue.
