Dear Biostar community,
I am looking for a Ph.D. studentship worldwide.
I am currently a French M.Sc. student in bioinformatics at the University of Paris-Saclay. Since the beginning of my studies, I have completed several research internships in both private and public laboratories. Mainly, I worked on algorithms for automatic annotation of prokaryote genomes, prediction of enzymatic functions, and visualization of high-dimensional biological data. As part of my current research internship project, I am developing a software for automatic annotation of transcriptomic sequences. My project aims to unify results from several prediction tools and databases. I am also developing a web platform to allow the visualization of these results.
Do you think some bioinformatics teams might be interested in a not first class honors profile?
Yours sincerely,
François Bonnardel

you have mathematics bases then I saw IPP call summer 2017 in bioinformatics. also I know a mathematics and modelling department in Potsdam-Golm -Germany in where Prof. Nikoloski was working in developing algorithms applicable in biology. Morever I have been in an interview in department of mathematics and computer science in Jena where Prof. Marz was interested in students with your backgrounds.
Thank you for this advice, I had already seen this proposal and I am currently applying for IPP, although I do not know if my profile will pass the selections.
you know, you have computational background then you should be optimistic that you will find
look at this research groups, they are looking for students like you
