What Is A Good Computer Science Journal For The Non-Computer Scientist?

Hi, Can anyone point to a good computer science/algorithms journal that I can follow to keep up with the current developments in the field. However, being a non-computer scientist who is more application oriented I prefer a journal that is not too heavy on the theory side but provides a bridge between the basic science and research and the practice of computer programming (i.e Bioinformatics tool development).

PS: Just in case, I am not asking for a bioinformatics Journal advise :) Thanks

Computing sciences have strong habit of putting a lot of important literature in conference proceedings... but I guess tracking that is even harder...
