Hi all,
I am searching for an older dbSNP human build (130) in XML format. I have looked through the dbSNP FTP and was not able to find an archived XML version of older dbSNP human data. Can anyone point towards an appropriate place ?

I'm afraid that the old XML files are not available anymore.
See: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK44443/#Build.Is_it_possible_to_get_the_XML_file
Is it possible to get the XML files for build 35? The download directories only have build 36.
Space limitations prevent us from keeping more than the most current build on our FTP site. The current XML files, however, do contain the mapping information for the previous build (i.e. build 35). (10/20/06)

If you just need the data for ncbi36/snp130 you can always download the tabular file from the UCSC.

or, as always me after Pierre, you may browse the Ensembl archive to explore past variation data ;)
