I grabbed all the drug label data from DailyMed and now I'm interested in finding information in other databases related to each label. For instance, for the tamoxifen label I'd like to find the PubChem compound ID and the DrugBank ID so that I can link to those pages for more information.

Has anyone else done this? How does one identify records in other databases that are equivalent to an FDA drug label?

I'm having a hard time finding an identifier in the label that is recognized in any other major datasource (UMLS, PubChem, DrugBank, etc...). I was able to pull out the "FDA SRS" identifiers and "NDC" identifiers but those don't seemed to be used anywhere else.

Hmmm....I have never looked into those fields specifically. All I can offer is KEGG DRUG, which seems to have some of the pieces you might be using:

You can have a look at the HCLS LODD project, which has linked DailyMed to many other resources using RDF technologies.

This looks promising. I don't see where to actually download data yet but I'm going to keep reading up on this. The LODD project Looks to be almost exactly what I was looking for.
