how to create binary matrix from gel image

I have a gel image and want to create a binary matrix from it....is there any tool available for generating a binary matrix from the gel image directly..?

a binary matrix in the form of 1 and 0 where 0 represents an absence of band and 1 represents the presence of band. the gel image is of issr and rapd markers
