How to install VCFminer from bioinformaticstools.mayo.edu.. I tried so many times and followed the necessary steps during installation but failed to install the software. Can anyone guide me to install the VCFminer?
Hi @ranjith.L. I am the maintainer of VCF-Miner. I agree with @cpad0112 that this sounds like you have an issue with your Docker installation, rather than VCF-Miner.
One other thing, since you are not command-line savvy, I would recommend that you try also downloading kitematic. That way it's all point and click.
If you still have problems, please post the full issue and what you have tried - that way I get notified by email that someone is having problems.

@buffo/ Ranjith..post the errors here. To my understanding, authors provide instructions to docker instead of stand alone application (I might be wrong here). Did you follow the instructions on github?

I have downloaded the VCF miner from...https://github.com/Steven-N-Hart/vcf-miner
Then I downloaded the hotfix from microsoft (Using windows 7 ; 64 bit) extracted the files and installed
Then I installed the docker from Github. When I start running the docker quickstart terminal it showing the error message " "Looks like something went wrong in step Looking for vboxmanage.exe'..
Please clarify... and provide me the instructions to follow..
It seems it is likely, a virtual box/docker/OS issue. Stackoverflow is right place to post such an issue. In the mean time, look at this post: https://github.com/docker/toolbox/issues/473
