Hello,
I need present some concepts about co-expression and why it is important, to a diverse group (some of whom will hear the word for the first time). Any suggestions as to what is the best way to simply explain co-expression and its significance? Or is there any good analogy that might make it easier?
Right now, I can only think of that: " Genes that behave similarly i.e., show similar expression profiles across diverse conditions are expected to participate in similar biological functions. Co-expression is not equivalent to co-regulation. But we can infer useful functional insights about the genes involved."
Any suggestions will helpful. Thanks.
