I am a new guy learning bioinformatics along with the HANDBOOK. One question is becoming more and more serious to me now, with the study goes into the following chapters, I found myself always thinking in my mind about the details of how the sequencing platform work from scratch, how and where the reads are really come out and how they are transformed to digital signals, etc.

I have looked some videos about that, most coming from the platform company, such as Illumina and Oxford Nanopore. However, these videos are too abstract and lack of some important details for learning.

Does anyone have any good recommendations? Please ignore this question if it is too stupid~~~

Some of the instrument manufacturers have videos explaining how they work:

edit: oops... just fully read your question and noticed you'd already watched the videos. I'll leave the links up here for others ;)
