Hi! I do not believe that there is a specific answer to your question.
GO terms just describe 'healthy' biological processes and cellular components, which may or may not be affected in various diseases, including cancer. For example, 'GO:0008283, cell proliferation,' is a GO term that just describes the process of cellular proliferation, which is a 'healthy' biological process that we all need to grow and survive. This particular process may be up-regulated in cancer.

Agreed. There are some terms, such as proliferation, cell cycle and differentiation, that are more intuitively related to the typical cancer phenotype. Simplyfied, cells do not exit the cell cycle and by this grow and divide aberrantly without ever entering their intended differentiation state. Still, basically any GO term might be cancer related, but this can be as complex as you want. Lets say you have "cytoskeleton" as GO. This could then relate to an error in the structural integrity of any cell membrane component, interfering with the normal action of a membrane-anchored receptor, which then ultimately end up disrupting any pathway. Still, this alone might not be sufficient to drive cancer, requiring other risk factors to collaborate on that matter. Therefore, the GO terms are only a very crude approach to somewhat classify a set of genes.
