Research Bazaar is a worldwide festival promoting digital literacy at the centre of research. There are festivals held at various universities over the next year (but mostly in January/February) including Melbourne, Oslo, Perth, Brisbane, and more.

Main homepage More locations will be added over the coming few weeks.

Usually a ResBaz features a few streams where Software Carpentry and Data Carpentry workshops are being held along with many smaller research oriented workshops. You can already sign up for Melbourne and Perth ResBaz. See you there!

This seems like a fantastic idea I must say. Looks like this happens in a limited set of countries. What does it take to be a part of it and contribute? Also, is there any possibility to initiate in India.

Disclaimer: I am from India ;)

I haven't heard of anything being planned in India - you can contact the 'main' organisation at research.bazaar@gmail.com to check with them, last year there was nothing in India either!

I think if you set the event into June/July you have more than enough time to get workshops, timeplan and a page planned out!
