Google Summer of Code 2018 has projects from Ensembl, Canadian Centre for Computational Genomics, GA4GH, Open Bioinformatics Foundation and possibly other bioinformatics places I didn't spot.
Obviously, I'm here to plug Ensembl (it's my job), so here are the suggested projects from Ensembl, but please get in touch if you have any other ideas.
