We recently established the Center for Viral Systems Biology, which is headquartered in La Jolla, CA. Our mission is to understand the factors contributing to outcomes from infections with highly pathogenic viruses, including Ebola virus and Lassa virus. We will be using large-scale data collections and analyses to address these questions via strong international collaborations with patient and survivor cohorts in Sierra Leone.
We have multiple postdoc and staff scientist positions available in La Jolla, Los Angeles, and New Orleans. We are looking for both computational scientists, bioinformaticians, data analysts, and wet-lab biologists.
