Hi All, My aim is to assess what differentially expressed proteins are detected between two different samples. Each sample is analysed in triplicate therefore I have three replicates for each sample. My question is whether three replicates for each sample are enough to apply t-test to assess what proteins are significantly different between the two samples.

Thanks a lot

Are you dealing with high-throughoutput data? If so, maybe you should consider using a more robust approach.

Hi Thanks for your reply. With my methodology I can detect approximately 450-500 proteins in each sample. I was planning to use t-test to assess the significance of the differentially expressed proteins. Hope this answer your question

3 replicates for each test should be enough.

Hi Thanks a lot for your reply. Would you use a t-test to assess the significance of the differentially expressed proteins?
