Hi;

I am using Pymol on windows and after creating the movie I want to save it as MPEG but I get the message: "freemol add-ons plugin missing". Any idea on how I should get it working?

I have looked at http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/MovieSchool_6 but it seems to be for Linux.

Thanks in advance

Can you save an image sequence to .png? If that works, just do it that way and use e.g. VirtualDub to convert it to a movie.

I have done this but the quality of the movies would be less. Also the speed changes and becomes really slow. Do you have the same problem?

What part is slow? The speed should be based on the image size and quality. Reduce the size/quality and it should speed up. Check out the settings for the ray command: http://www.pymolwiki.org/index.php/Ray

There is a very useful pymol plugin available for movie-generation called "eMovie" by Weizmann Institute along with workflow and example movies. You can install that and try creating your molecular movies.

Hi, I am interested in eMovie, but I do not know how to use it. Do you happen to have some tutorial about this plugin, or know somewhere I can find tutorial? Thanks in advance!
