Hi All,
I am working with Coriell Panel and I have Coriell IDs, I wish to get the rs numbers from these coriell ID's. For example for this Coriell Sample ID NA09912, the RS target is rs3892097. I have hundreds of such Sample ID's. Is there any database or any way in which I can get the rs number and gene, variant/allele information?
Thanks in advance!!!
Hello kspata,
maybe I misunderstood something or you are mixing things up. A
rs
number is the identification number for a variant in dbSNP and theSample ID
, well, is just a "name" for the sample. There is no way to convert between them as they are two total different things.fin swimmer
This may not be straight forward either.
If you look at this link (and click on the
characterizations
tab) there are specific allelic variants listed. When you click on those links you then reach the OMIM site, where the rsID noted by OP is listed (among a bunch of other info). Now we need to figure out how to link all this directly.
Hi fin,
What I want to know is what are all the alleles/variants and genotypes present for sample NA09912 and obtain the rs number of alleles for this sample.
I looked up on 1000Genomes project but I don't know how to access the Coriell Sample ID's there. I am looking for some way in which I can get all the information of genotypes for this Sample NA09912.
I saw a link on biostars [Download Specific Individuals From Dbsnps?][1] which explains this, but the link in the command is no longer available on ncbi.
I appreciate your response. Thank You.
Those files listed in @Pierre's answer are available at this link. You can try his solution with these files.
