Split-Seq full length

Hi,

Does the Split-Seq protocol yield full length or 3' sequencing?

From the paper it looks like it is 3' but they also use random hexamer priming.

According to the review A practical guide to single-cell RNA-sequencing for biomedical research and clinical applications, it is 3'-end sequencing.
