Hello

I have a problem with MEGA-X tool when I try to edit the columns of nucleotides. In the last version of this tool the user can aligned the nucleotides and then selected some columns of nucleotides with press+hold Shift and selected the columns and then deleted the columns of nucleotides; but in the MEGA-X you can't use Shit button and select columns. Do you know which button is use instead of Shift to select some columns in this version?

I am finding the same issue, and this is so profoundly annoying. Mega-X seems to not allow to select an alignment block. Has anyone found a way of doing this? Thanks!!

Having the same issue. Opened up MEGA 7 and accessed MEGA 7 alignments; no problem trimming alignments. Not the same with MEGA X; cannot select multiple positions to trim in MEGA X.

In case anyone comes here looking for a solution... In MEGA-X you can still select a block of characters in an alignment by selecting the desired range of nucleotides using shift on the first sequence in the alignment (rather than the row above the sequences) and scrolling down to the bottom of your alignment and shift clicking on the desired nucleotide for the last sequence in the alignment.
