plink --meta-analysis study1.assoc study2.assoc study3.assoc

I checked the plink website but dint find details http://zzz.bwh.harvard.edu/plink/metaanal.shtml . Could someone help me with the calculations that are happening in plink to come up with that single file after meta analysis ?
