We’ve recently launched Apertio, the first search engine for opendata/government data that enables users to find and search within the data itself.

What is Apertio in a nutshell?

• A single point of access to tons of Open Data from across the USA at all levels - federal, state and municipal. • Unlike Google you have the ability to search within the files: search and locate datasets by company name, location (e.g. neighborhood name) and any other indicator of value. • Preview CSV files before downloading to ensure value and fit. • Sorting the search results by relevance, dataset size or date of last update.
