Hi,

Well not a 100% related bioinformatics question, but Circos is quite useful in our field. Just trying my luck here. I am using Circos to plot some histograms but I just didnt find out how to get rid of the vertical grids (see example).

Any idea ?

Thanks for helping ;)

I love circos (and have used it for plenty of publications and presentations) but figuring out the proper formatting is quite a chore.

I agree, that's a great tool with lots of possibilities but I find the documentation a bit messy

I figured it out myself.

For future reference:

One has to set show_bands = no in the ideogram.conf

no tested, but after reading http://circos.ca/tutorials/lessons/ticks_and_labels/grids/ I think you'll just have to write:

show_grid  = no
