Hi Everyone,

I was reading about some PPIs recently. Please excuse if my question is too simple. My question is, if i reconstruct PPIs from healthy and diseased individuals from omics data, would you expect that the reconstructed PPIs will be different, even if only a few nodes?

They will likely be different but the reasons why they differ could be related to biological and/or technical influences. Most network analysis tools construct network from a correlation matrix, so, many networks are only slightly better than (or as good as) constructing a dendrogram with correlation as the distance metric.

Please read Gene co-expression analysis for functional classification and gene-disease predictions.
