Hi,

I have downloaded .dat (.txt in Embl format) file from UniProt. I want to filter the file so that I can separate/delete certain entries. For example, I want to delete all the human sequences from the UniProt metazoa file. Is there a way to do that.

Can anybody help??!

It would be very easy to write a simple biopython script, but, I can't write any script.

Thanks a ton!!

What have you tried? This looks like a good opportunity to learn how to write a script. I encourage you to try on your own and get back to us if you have more specific questions.
