The Shen lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (New York City) is looking for research interns to join the lab during this summer. Our lab is interested in using machine learning and deep learning to develop computational tools and applications for genomics as well as medical images. The Shen lab has been the bioinformatics engine for the neuroscience department for many years and has been very successful in publishing our results and creating open source software. Together, we have published dozens of papers in top-tier journals, such as Nature, Science, Nature Medicine and Genome Biology. Recently, the Shen lab has also expanded into medical imaging, such as using deep learning for breast cancer detection and risk assessment. For more details about the lab, visit: http://labs.neuroscience.mssm.edu/project/shen-lab/.
If you are interested in doing cutting-edge research and getting your hands dirty dealing with real world datasets during the summer, this is a wondering opportunity for you to do so. Please send your CV to: li.shen@mssm.edu.
