Google Summer of Code is back for another year. GSOC is a great opportunity for students to work on an Open Source project, build experience, extend their CVs and (crucially) get paid.
There are loads of bioinformatic projects on GSOC this year (including Ensembl, hence my interest). Here's what I've spotted (comment if I've missed anything and I'll add to the list):
- Ensembl
- Biomedical Informatics, Emory University
- Canadian Center for Computational Genomics
- cBioPortal for Cancer Genomics
- CBMI@UTHSC
- Computational Biology @ University of Nebraska-Lincoln
- Global Alliance for Genomics and Health
- InterMine
- National Resource for Network Biology (NRNB)
- Open Bioinformatics Foundation
- PEcAn Project
- UCSC Xena
