Hi

I am looking for datasets of genomic regions (in the format: chromosome number, starting locus, ending locus) of variants of genes related to heart failure.

Does anyone know where I can find some?

I am looking for something like the VISTA Enhancer Browser, but related to heart. That website contains the genomic regions of enhancers related to multiple tissues. I would like to have a dataset of chromosome regions of gene variants related to heart (non enhancers).

Thanks!

"heart failure" is a very brought term. Some suggestion:

  • Use BioMart and use the possibility to filter for phenotypes.
  • Search in OMIM. From the search result one can extract the gene names. With them one can go back to BioMart and extract the locations for the genes.
  • Search in clinVar. The result that can be downloaded contain at least the gene name. Sometime also the location for the known variant.

Did you try to search for publications in PubMed? They will usually contain information about where they deposited the data afterwards plus you will actually know how these variants came to be declared as interesting.
