Can one point out some useful and detailed reference on the illumina sequencing protocol (single end and paired-end reads)? So - readable also for not-biologists but that you still know what is going on?

I find it especially hard to find some good documentation on the paired-end reads workflow.

You mean the sequencing chemistry or the actual wet lab protocols?

I would be interested in both. So, on the one hand, the individual steps of the library preparation and, as well, how the sequencing process is working.

thanks, I've already seen this video... :) I would like to have some more details. So e.g. which adaptor is supposed to be part of the read. How do things change when looking at paired-end reads?
