Lots of Bioconductor packages require a BSGenome data package to work, but they're only available for a limited number of organisms, so as far as I understand, if you work on one that's not available you're supposed to "forge" a BSGenome package of your genome yourself.
I find the official vignette with instructions for doing so to be pretty difficult to follow. Does anyone know of any other pedagogical resources to walk you through this process? I imagine it must come up often and I'd be surprised if there haven't been tutorials created.
