Arg they are not giving the tool the used... I think they did it with a homemade way, may be you can contact them .

Other ways with few modifications :

• You can have somethink like this like this with this tool JBrowse.

• You can try with IGV

Yeah, the authors only talk in supplementary data about piRNA mapping figures, with python script.
