I want to generate small RNA data for illumina.

Can anyone suggest the tool to simulate 35 basepair length data for illumina in fastq or fasta format?

I have tried ART (set of simulation tools). But the mapping data is not as expected for small RNA data.

Can you explain "mapping data is not as expected for small RNA data"?

More specifics on how you generated the data are warranted, probably.

You can use the NGS:Simulation tool, available here Galaxy

@pascal: only 1 or 2 reads mapped on the complete genome.I would say there wasnt any mapping...!! @Sean Davin: According to me atleast 3 reads should map onto mature miRNA to prove that it is present!!

Take a look at previous thread,[?] NGS:Simulation tool, available here Galaxy[?]
There are several other tools availble for fastq simulation:[?] Mason[?] simulateSeq.pl[?]
