Hello,

I have a list of approximately 200 gene names and need to obtain the 3'UTR sequences for each gene. This is for Saccharomyces Cerevisiae (yeast) and an example gene name is YHL036W.

Does a publicly available tool exist that would allow me to upload my list of gene names and download the sequences?

Thank you for your help

You can try BioMart. You can upload your genes of interest and retrieve only 3' UTR sequences. Similar post: retrieval of upstream non-coding sequences

Use Biomart. It will allow you to select any part of the genome you desire

Thank you. Biomart is a very nice tool. However, is it just me or are all of the 3' UTR sequences unavailable for Saccharomyces Cerevisiae ?

Hi! Did you find an answer to this? I'd be really curious to know as I'm having the same problem getting 5' UTRs for S. cerevisiae... mitochondrial, to be specific.

Hi. I ended up contacting the folks at YeastGenome.org for assistance on how to query their database for the sequences. It's a bit of a process so I would recommend contacting them and explaining exactly what you're trying to do. They're very helpful. Good luck.
