Hi everyone,
I am trying to generate .sqn
file for the data that I have (I have .sbt, .fsa and .tbl files) using tbl2asn tool.
When I run this command tbl2asn -i contigs.fsa -t template.sbt -j "[organism=Genus species]" -o sqn_file_trial.sqn
, it doesn't create .sqn
file and
gives me following message:
[tbl2asn] This copy of tbl2asn is more than a year old. Please download the current version.
[tbl2asn] Unable to read required template file
and when I run this command: tbl2asn -i contigs.fsa -t template.sbt.txt -j "[organism=Genus species]" -o sqn_file_trial1.sqn
, with template file as
'template.sbt.txt' extension then the file gets generated but still it gives me the same messages as above. And in .sqn file which is generated it shows the tool version as tool "tbl2asn 20.0 - LINUX UNIX"
.
So,
1. I am not sure whether I can use this file (generated using 2nd command) or not.
2. And if I can not use this file then where can I get the current version of tbl2asn?
3. Also is it correct to use template file as .txt
extension?
Can anybody please help?
Thank you.
Thanks, but I already checked that FTP link, and the Linux versions there are showing 0 Bytes.
You are correct, the FTP link shows 0 bytes for the size of linux versions. I don't know why. But, if you still go ahead and click on the link to download the file, you will end up with an ~5.3Mb file that, after decompression, works as expected.
