Hi,

I want to count epistatic interactions inside human genome. BioGrid provides a list of genetic and protein interactions. Is it ok to assume that those interactions can be viewed as epistatic? I am asking around but it seams everyone has its own undetermined oppinioun on this matter. Can someone please help me and with a degree of certainty say yes or no on whether the data can be considered and used to count epistatic interactions.

thank you :)

Check the definition of the genetic interactions in BioGrid and decide which definition of epistasis you want to adopt as there are a number of slight variations depending on the field. To me these look like epistatic relationships.
