In a Mendelian Randomisation (MR) study, is it possible to use as an exposure a phenotype where the GWAS SNPs are all in the MHC locus on chromosome 6? Does this biologically make sense? And also, how reliable are the results if only very few (~3) instrumental variables were used to run the MR?
