ISMB 2020 will be online only, and still held from July 13-16th. Keynotes and award talks will be presented live at 10 AM EDT (rebroadcast at 8 PM). Other talks and posters will be pre-recorded videos and presented on a broadcast channel for each COSI with the speakers present to answer questions during broadcast. After broadcast of each talk, they will be available on-demand to conference registrants until October, then public on ISCB tv in November.
The ability to have breakout rooms (zoom based platform) will be available, so we will still plan on splitting into small topical groups as we have been doing the past few years.
ISMB registration will be required for all presenters, though COSIs get 5 free registrations for organizers and some fellowships are available. The bioinfo-core organizers can also try to use as much of our escrow funding as we can to help cover registration fees for our speakers and poster presenters. More about registration fees
The due date for poster abstract submission is currently April 30th. We will need to get our lightning talk speakers information lined up by the end of May.
