How to build ncbi blast+ 2.9.0 source code using cmake?

The only successful way to build ncbi-blast is to use makefile. I saw there was one file called CMakeLists.txt under ncbi-blast-2.9.0+-src/c++/src, but I failed to build using cmake command. Does anyone build the source code using cmake?

Is there any specific reason why you'd like to build the BLAST from the source? Have you tried using pre-built binaries available on https://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/blast/executables/blast+/LATEST/ ?
