Hi
I realise this question maybe a bit basic and I apologise. I work in a high school that is going through some significant behaviour issues and I was thinking that if I could map the students involved and how many times they are involved in incidents and who are the bystanders . We could then get a representation visually and be able to effectively target some extra support .
Can make a map that shows - the students, the year group of the student and the behaviour type? Or is my thinking too basic for this program?
Any thoughts suggestions very welcome Regards Jennie
Not really a bioinformatics question.
Given the cytoscape tag, I guess you're thinking of some sort of graph visualization. This definitely can work but only if the number of nodes (i.e. students in your case) is not too high otherwise, you'll get what is often called a hairball. You can use cytoscape styling to associate colours, shapes and size with attributes such as year, behaviour and counts.
