Entrez e-utils reference for ensembl ids

I know this is a long shot, but assuming my access to services is limited to e-utils, is there any way to map ensemble gene ids like ENSG00000010404 ( iduronate 2-sulfatase) to Entrez Gene UIDs e.g "3423" ?

$ esearch -db gene -query ENSG00000010404 | esummary | xtract -pattern DocumentSummary -element Id,Description
3423    iduronate 2-sulfatase

Can't you just download biomaRt tables and use them to look up the correspondence like it's done here?
