Hi,
I am using Badreads for simulating Oxford Nanopore long reads and then used BWA for mapping the short reads to these simulated long reads which acts as my reference in BWA.
I wanted to change my error rate for simulating the long reads (like 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%) and then how the mapping is effected due to this change in error rate. But in Badreads tool they have an option like error_model as "Pacbio" or "oxford" which have already default values.
So are there any other tool by which I can generate oxford nanopore long reads where I can give the error rates?
Thank you
Maybe what you could do is take a Badreads error model (e.g. nanopore) and rescale the numbers to your liking. Other tools are mentioned in their comparison.
