I have seen many suggestions and ideas about developing android apps here and online, but they are all out dated and already done. I am searching for a new ideas about tools that needed as daily basis that can help bioinformaticians. I want to develop the app from a researcher perspective, meaning that I want to provide something meaningful, Innovative and new.
Bioinformatics happens mostly on remote Linux servers. I cant think of anything that would be useful for an Android or iOS app to do. Terminal emulators already exist for mobile devices but they are not feasible for doing real work on a day-to-day basis. Phones really have no role at all in bioinformatics and any app you made for one would just be a distraction from getting work done. After all, when I am "doing bioinformatics", I pretty much always have my phone turned to Silent and stored somewhere out of sight.
Dictating to an app what to do with the data.
audio recording apps already exist, as do note taking apps
