Hey,

I feel like this is an unusual questions but I'm interested in a non-coding RNA that I found on NCBI on the human genome. However I can't find any source (it says gene source: havana) or study about that transcript. I don't know how to talk about it. It's not technically a question but do you have any input on this one?

Is there a specific lncRNA that you are interested in? GENCODE produces official annotation for Human genome. You can find their non-coding RNA GTF file (along with sequences) at this link.

Yes, I'm interested in a specific one. Thanks for the link. Found it. Might be a naive questions but where does all this HAVANA data comes from. Haven't found any study that supports the presence of a non-coding RNA in that region.

HAVANA is a manual annotation project at EMBL/EBI. For a few species mentioned here they do a merge of HAVANA and GENCODE/Ensembl annotations.
