It would help if you provided the context in which you've seen this term. In other words, please paste a few sentences from the literature or a text book where this is used. The term is otherwise vague enough to have many possible meanings.

hello what is the mean of Genomic Content in this sentence". Moreover, a single genome is insufficient to represent the genomic content of a predominantly selfing (autogamous) species, such as G. soja, in which individuals are distinct from one another due to low levels of genetic exchange and recombination"

everyone know about this, please explanation to me.

best regards tnx.

Are you sure "GC" means "genomic content"? GC content typically refers to the predicted nucleotide composition of the genome. That is, how many of the bases are guanosine/cytidine and is expressed as a % of the genome. There is a very real GC-bias in sequencing: sequences that are AT rich or GC rich will have lower sequence coverage.

See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GC-content for more details.

I don't say that GC content is the same with genomic content, I had a question about their difference Thank you for your attention and good response. Best wish

In that sentence it can be taken to mean, "genomic sequence reasonably representative of the entire population." That would include also the number of chromosomes, which presumably could differ between individuals in this species.
