If there are data outside my country and I need to transfer this data to my laptop. Me and data owner tried Syncthing but it works very slow, I tried to connect to their server using Filezilla but can't also connect to server and always give me this error: Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity Error: Could not connect to server

Is there any other suggestion to transfer this data ?

Thanks,

Is that an FTP server? can you use Rsync in the command line? If the network is bad even Aspera will fail, sometimes I prefer to ship some physical USB drives across continents/countries.

Yes, its is FTP server. I didn't use Rsync before, I will try it. USB will be my last chance. Could I use Google cloud for that ?

Maybe a proxy is blocking the FTP if you're behind an institutional firewall. Can you access the remote FTP from another computer, eg at home, and copy to external hard disks ?

Syncthing is very nice on local networks, I use it at home to sync laptop, mobile and pc.

I am sorry but I don't understand the first part of your answer. What is the proxy ? Syncthing always become 30% and when network disconnected it returns to 23%.
