I want to draw a figure like this, but I don't know how did they draw it, can anyone help me?

The left part is genetic map, the right part is ordered scaffolds. Each position on the genetic map corresponding a position or more on scaffold(s).

Somebody suggusted me to use GNUPLOT to draw it, but after several days reading the manual of it, I was unable to write a correct script to handle this. I think the main problem is I don't how can I link the positions. And also I can't find any example script for drawing figures like this one. If you know how to use GNUPLOT to draw it, and have an example script, that would be helpful.

Thank you!
