HI everyone,
For downstream analyses I want to correlate genetics of two subspecies with differences in the environment across geographic space, but first I need help in planning of my niche models.
I have two subspecies that I need to make niche models for that are not possible to differentiate by eye. However, I can differentiate them by breeding range, except in a small geographic area (two adjacent counties) of overlap. Because occurrence records would not be able to differentiate the subspecies here, what is my best course of action for delineating the subspecies? Since they both are known to occur here, should I split the occurrence records and assign half to one subspecies and half to the other? Are there any opinions or literature you can refer me to?
Thanks for your help!
