How to evaluate significance between 2 independent clustering runs?

Hello,

I have data that consist of 3 data sets (A, B and C) and I have used hierarchical clustering in R to analyse them. The clustering runs were A vs C and B vs C (it has no sense to perform all together) and I got more clusters between A and C than between B and C indicating that there is a better relationship between A-C, however I would need to evaluate the statistical significance the results. I mean to probe statistically that A-C are more related than B-C. Does anybody know how to perform this analysis and which tools or test analysis to perform?
