Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some documentation about the output of the ONT basecaller Guppy, specifically, I'm interested in the slots Trace and Move. At the best of my knowledge, old Guppy versions returned these two pieces of information by default, instead, the last release of the software doesn't.

Is it a setup problem (I have to specify that I want to keep these data)? Do you know the most recent version of Guppy which retains these two slots?

Thank you very much for your help!

An update on this. I basecalled again some FAST5 files with Guppy 4.0.15 (the last version of the software I think, the same used by MinKNOW) and now, for each read, I have 2 Basecall_1D slots. One was generated directly by MinKNOW (I think) and contains only the Fastq. The other was the result of the second run of basecalling and contains also Move and Trace.

It seems to be a problem concerning the setup of the MinKNOW software...

A final update, according to the genomic unit staff from my department there are a couple of flags, "Trace" and "Move", to set before sequencing.

Hi, I am a beginner of ont-data, and recently I use guppy for basecalling. I saw a move and trace table in the output fast5 file, but I don't know the meaning of these two table. Could you please let me know the meaning of these datas? thank you!
